Elevation Technical Services is seeking a Surveyor / Project Coordinator to support delivery of civil, mining, and infrastructure projects across British Columbia. This is a hybrid role combining hands-on construction surveying with project coordination responsibilities. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in the field performing layout and data collection, while also supporting project planning, tracking, and communication. Key Responsibilities Survey / Field Responsibilities: Perform construction layout and as-built surveying for civil and infrastructure projects Establish and verify site control (horizontal and vertical) Operate Trimble GPS (RTK) and Robotic Total Stations (RTS) Utilize Trimble Access for field workflows and data collection Support QA/QC verification including grades, tolerances, and dimensional checks Project Coordination Responsibilities Support Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of project activities Assist with planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting Coordinate site activities, meetings, and communication between teams Prepare field reports, meeting minutes, action logs, and project documentation Monitor progress and flag risks, delays, and scope changes Maintain organized project records and tracking systems What We’re Looking For 3+ years of experience in construction surveying, with exposure to project coordination or site-based project support Strong working knowledge of: Trimble Access Trimble GPS (RTK) Robotic Total Stations (RTS) Trimble Business Center (TBC) for data processing Solid understanding of construction workflows, site coordination, and sequencing Ability to transition between field execution and project coordination responsibilities Strong communication skills and ability to work with field crews, PMs, and clients Highly organized with strong attention to detail Education Diploma or degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field Eligible for or pursuing C.Tech, AScT, or similar professional designation Equivalent field experience will also be considered Preferred / Assets Experience in civil, mining, or infrastructure projects Drafting/modeling experience (TBC, Civil 3D, or similar) Transport Canada Advanced RPAS (drone) license Exposure to QA/QC or reality capture workflows What We’re Building We are developing an integrated survey and digital delivery capability that supports construction execution, QA/QC, and project coordination.
