Text Size Back to Job Board Casual Registered Practical Nurse Thessalon Healthcare POSTED: 5 months ago Employer Algoma Manor Nursing Home ES Job ID 7030 Closing Date October 30, 2026 Salary $27.23/hr Duration Casual , Part Time Job Description Job Description Provides nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician orders, resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of a Registered Practical Nurse Utilizes sound nursing practice principles Ensures the delivery of excellent nursing and personal care on the assigned home area(s) Develops and sustains a plan of care to meet resident's assessed need Responsible for safekeeping of drug and narcotic keys in accordance with professional standards and policies Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete records of nursing care delivered Demonstrates a professional working knowledge of all equipment used in the delivery of nursing care Follows all corporate policies and procedures contributes to the development of site specific nursing policies as indicated Seeks direction from the RN when resident need exceeds experience or scope of practice. Wage Starting wage is $27.23 as per our CUPE Collective Agreement. Required Skills Must possess a valid certification as a Registered Practical Nurse through a recognized college or educational institution Must possess a valid certification in CPR/current Heart-Save Level Demonstrated experience in a long-term care setting, is preferable Proficient in interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient with computer programs, including Word, Excel, and specialized medical software Professional working knowledge of nursing care equipment How To Apply Please send resume to: danielle.mercer@algomamanor.com We thank all those that apply, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
