On behalf our client in the manufacturing sector, we are seeking a dedicated Environmental Coordinator. In this role, you will act as the site subject matter expert, leading regulatory compliance, supporting sustainability programs, and driving continuous improvement for environmental management systems across the plant. Responsibilities Direct and maintain plant-wide compliance with municipal, provincial, and federal environmental legislation, permits, and reporting standards. Oversee site waste management programs, chemical inventory tracking, SDS administration, and air emission/wastewater compliance. Maintain and enhance the facility's ISO 14001 Environmental Management System through regular audits, aspect reviews, and incident investigations. Deliver environmental awareness training programs and coordinate emergency spill response procedures for plant personnel. Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology, Sustainable Management, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years of dedicated environmental and sustainability management experience within manufacturing. Strong working knowledge of Ontario environmental regulations, paint/chemical systems, wastewater, and environmental reporting software. ISO 14001 Internal Auditor certification and Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) certification are considered strong assets. Exigences
Candidates must have a diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field with at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing. Knowledge of Ontario environmental regulations and ISO 14001 internal auditing is highly valued.
