Position Summary: The Manager of Housing provides leadership and operational oversight for enCompass’ Housing division, which includes three voluntary, short-term supportive housing residences and a Housing First program. These programs support individuals with a range of needs, who may or may not be justice involved, in building stability and progressing toward independent community living. The Manager oversees Donnelly House, LOFT, Nova, and Youth Housing First, providing division-level direction aligned with the agency’s strategic priorities. They oversee program operations, staff leadership and development, quality improvement, and policy implementation while supporting consistency, shared programming, and cross-referrals across Housing. The Manager works closely with government and community partners to strengthen service delivery and support positive housing outcomes. Responsibilities: * Provide leadership and oversight for Housing programs, including program operations, policy implementation, safety and security, and service delivery in compliance with agency and funder requirements * Develop division-level direction, policies, practices, and standards in alignment with agency strategy, philosophy, and client-centred practice * Lead recruitment, retention, supervision, performance management, training, and staff development across the division * Complete funder reports and proposals within required timelines and oversee record-keeping, databases, inventory, and maintenance systems * Assist with the development of division budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure timely financial documentation and invoice processing * Build and maintain positive relationships with partners, collaborators, funders, neighbours, and community stakeholders * Support quality improvement through program logic models, data collection, accurate data entry, annual performance improvement plans, and clear program design * Participate in Strategic Leadership Team activities, agency and division meetings and committees, and contribute to agency-level direction and policy * Research and remain current on developments in the community of practice and bring forward recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team * Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation and fulfill acting or operational roles as required Qualifications / Skills: * Degree and/or diploma in a related human services field; a combination of education and experience may be considered * Five years of experience with program oversight and supervising front-line employees * Five years of experience working with high-risk individuals and/or high-need populations, including experience in residential programs * Demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial budgets * Experience in risk management, including client and staff safety, confidentiality, duty of care, and mandatory reporting under relevant legislation * Proven ability to build and navigate sector relationships and partnerships diplomatically * Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to establish a positive team culture and lead teams through change * Strong critical and strategic thinking, crisis management, and written and verbal communication skills * General computer and database knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Conditions of Employment: * One-year term position, with an anticipated start date of October 1, 2026. Some flexibility in the start date may be available for the successful candidate. * Full time (37.5 hours per week) position with participation in the after-hours global on-call rotation * Primary work location is 10010 – 105 Street, Edmonton, with regular site visits required to the housing programs overseen by this position * A reliable vehicle, valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence, and $2million liability coverage are required * Valid First Aid and CPR certification is required * Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Record Check are required * A criminal record will not disqualify you from employment with us; we evaluate each application individually What we offer * The salary range for this position is $75,345.77 to $103,998.38 annually. * enCompass strives to provide a meaningful work environment through the following: * Strong focus on employee wellness and work-life balance * Service recognition and employee awards * Professional development opportunities * Staff team building and appreciation days * Competitive health, dental and RRSP benefits Please include how you heard about the position in the cover letter.
