Summary Reporting to the Supervisor and Lead Hand, the B-Pressure Welder is responsible for executing fabrication projects in accordance to the welding procedures, working with other employees as a part of a team, have the ability and desire to become efficient with welding techniques, meet and maintain Enerflex’s quality expectations and learn all aspects of job as required. The individual will be an Alberta B Pressure Welder who has a continual focus on safety, quality, cost control and customer satisfaction when performing the duties of the position. With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward. This position is based out of the Enerflex’s Calgary SE facility. Day and Afternoon Shifts availableResponsibilities and Duties Read and interpret welding process specifications. Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes Ensure all welding equipment is clean and functional Participating in, accepting and adopting the safety principles Qualifications Hold a valid B Pressure Welder Certificate and must pass a shop “B” Pressure weld test Commitment to promoting and being a part of a safe work environment Experience in vessel or process pipe, preferably with natural gas compressor packages Experience working on new and used piping systems This position may be required to direct, coach and mentor Junior B Welders Ability to work overtime or shift work Results oriented and a team player Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment health assessment including a drug and alcohol test.
