As part of the Corporate Document Control and Computer Aided Design (CAD) Service Team, the CADD Technician is responsible to provide CAD and document control support to all aspects of engineering and technical documentation for all divisions across NB Power. Key functions include: Prioritize, schedule and estimate, lead/participate in the creation/modification and quality assurance of engineering and technical drawings for all divisions, in a timely and accurate manner. Educate and assist internal and external customers to ensure compliance with Corporate and divisional engineering, technical and CAD standards, processes and procedures. Interact and coordinate with all levels of the organization, contractors, external agencies, and team members. Our ideal teammate will have: Post-secondary diploma in Engineering Technology (any discipline) from NBCC or an Accredited Engineering Technology school Two years of related experience such as working with technical drawings and CAD standards Experience in an electrical utility or other heavy industrial setting Experience with Microstation and/or AutoCad Strong understanding of engineering and technical drawing principles Class 5 Driver’s License An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified. Due to security requirements at Canadian Nuclear facilities, the successful candidate will require a Site Access Security Clearance which includes verification of background information, references, a Criminal Record Name Check and a Canadian Security Intelligence Service security recommendation. An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
