The operator is responsible for setting up and operating light or heavy metalworking machines to shape and cut metal. They must also inspect products for correct dimensions and perform minor machinery repairs and lubrication.

Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in metal forming and shaping operations. A trade certificate or diploma in sheet metal technology or boilermaking is required.
