Field Technician-Didsbury

ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a hands-on entry level Field Technician based in or near Didsbury to support equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting both in our shop and at client sites. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving technical problems, and being out in the field. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians to build practical skills in equipment setup, electronics, power systems, and data collection. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Install, maintain, and remove field equipment at client sites * Assist with troubleshooting hardware, sensors, and communication systems * Perform routine maintenance and repairs * Help prepare and test equipment in the Didsbury shop * Follow procedures for data collection and documentation * Support internal teams and external partners with technical issues * Follow all safety policies in shop and field environments WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We’re prioritizing practical skills and attitude over formal education. MUST-HAVES * Based in or near Didsbury * Strong mechanical or technical aptitude * Comfortable working outdoors and traveling to job sites * Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems * Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn NICE-TO-HAVE (NOT REQUIRED) * Experience with: * Electronics or electrical systems * Networking (Ethernet, communications equipment) * Solar (photovoltaic) or power systems * Experience in field work, construction, oil & gas, or similar environments * Class 1 or 3 driver license or ability to obtain one WHY JOIN US * Hands-on training and skill development * Opportunity to work in both shop and field environments * Exposure to real-world technical systems and equipment * Growth into more senior technical role Accessibility Statement We are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot field equipment and sensors at client sites and within the shop. Support internal teams and external partners while ensuring all safety policies are followed during data collection and repairs.

Candidates must be based near Didsbury with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to work outdoors. Experience with electronics, networking, solar power, or a CDL is considered an asset but not required.
