Your main responsibilities Lead the detailed design of municipal infrastructure projects, more specifically sanitary lift stations, wastewater treatment facility (WWTF), potable water booster stations, and potable water treatment plants (WTP); Prepare and review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents in accordance with municipal, provincial, and federal standards and other technical guidelines; Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (geotechnical, environmental, structural) to deliver integrated design solutions; Support permitting and approvals processes with municipalities and regulatory agencies; Provide technical input during procurement, including tendering and bid evaluations; Perform periodic construction site visits and provide design support during construction (RFI responses, design clarifications, change reviews); Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and Englobe’s quality management systems; Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting project delivery and business development efforts; Mentor junior engineers and technologists and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. What makes you unique Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and registered (or eligible for registration) as a P.Eng. with the applicable provincial association; 5–10+ years of experience in municipal infrastructure design, ideally within a consulting environment; Strong knowledge of municipal servicing systems, including water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater management; Proficiency with design and modelling software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, PCSWMM, Bentley hydraulic modelling software (WaterCAD/SewerGEMS) and spreadsheet analysis; Experirence with Plant 3D would be considered an asset; Solid understanding of municipal design standards, approval processes, and construction practices; Experience preparing contract documents and supporting tendering processes; Effective communicator with strong report writing and client-facing skills; Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment; Committed to health and safety, with the ability to promote Englobe’s HSE culture and procedures.
