Surgical patients are unprepared for the stress of their surgery, which can significantly increase the risk of delayed recovery, complications, and even mortality. The Role: EMN is seeking a passionate and patient-centered Consulting Registered Dietitian. This role will focus on supporting patients throughout their surgical and recovery journey through nutrition education, onboarding, and direct communication. The Consulting Registered Dietician will act as a trusted clinical resource for patients, helping explain EMN’s nutrition protocols, answering questions related to surgical nutrition and recovery, and improving patient confidence and engagement. This individual will also collaborate closely with EMN’s commercial, customer success, and clinical teams to enhance patient education initiatives and optimize the patient experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining clinical nutrition expertise with communication, education, and innovation in a fast-growing healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct patient education calls related to perioperative nutrition and EMN protocols Support patients with nutrition-related questions before and after surgery Help improve patient onboarding, engagement, and adherence to EMN programs Collaborate with surgeons, clinic staff, and EMN team members to support patient success Assist in developing patient-facing educational resources, scripts, and communication materials Identify common patient concerns and feedback trends to help improve the patient experience Help contribute to the development of scalable patient education systems and best practices Your Qualifications: Must have: Registered Dietitian designation (RD) Must have: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must have: Passion for patient education and improving healthcare outcomes Must have: Ability to communicate complex nutrition concepts in a simple, empathetic manner Nice to have: Experience in surgical, orthopedic, rehabilitation, or clinical nutrition Nice to have: Experience with telehealth or virtual patient engagement At EMN, we believe employee success translates into the company's overall success.
