Integration & Modernization: Architect real-time streaming and batch data pipelines connecting legacy core banking mainframes to modern cloud/hybrid environments. Collaboration: Partner with Data Engineers, BI Teams, Security Officers, and Business Stakeholders to deliver reliable and optimized data solutions. Required Qualifications & Skills Experience: 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 5+ years focusing specifically as a Data Architect within the Banking / Financial Services sector. Core Banking & Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of core banking products, financial data models (e.g., FSLDM - Financial Services Logical Data Model), risk analytics, and compliance frameworks. Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in data modeling (Dimensional and Relational, Kimball/Inmon methodologies). Hands-on experience with Cloud Data Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop) and modern data stack tools (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery). Familiarity with database technologies (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, NoSQL). Governance Tools: Experience implementing data catalog, governance, and master data management (MDM) tools. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Data Engineer). Experience transitioning legacy monolithic banking systems to modern cloud architectures.
