SAP Basis Administrator

Job Title: SAP BASIS Administrator Location: Remote (Canada) Employment Type: Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise SAP environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting SAP ECC and S/4HANA landscapes, performing upgrades and migrations, administering SAP infrastructure, and ensuring high availability, performance, and disaster recovery. This is a remote opportunity supporting mission-critical SAP environments in a global organization. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, administer, and maintain SAP BASIS environments across Unix/DB2, Windows/SQL Server, Linux, SAP HANA, AWS, and Azure. Perform SAP system administration, monitoring, performance tuning, and technical troubleshooting. Participate in SAP ECC upgrades and S/4HANA migration projects. Support SAP landscape migrations from on-premises environments to AWS and Azure. Develop and implement SAP monitoring and maintenance processes to optimize system performance. Collaborate with application and development teams to resolve SAP performance and infrastructure issues. Manage SAP disaster recovery activities and ensure high system availability. Ensure all system changes follow established change management procedures and corporate standards. Configure and support SAP Cloud Connector, SAP BTP administration, and cloud integrations. Implement and support SAP Fiori setup and configuration for analytical and transactional applications. Perform SAP Solution Manager 7.1/7.2 installation, upgrades, and administration. Configure CTS+, CA Wily Introscope, and related SAP monitoring tools. Support Single Sign-On (SSO) implementation using Kerberos, SAML, and SPNEGO. Participate in scheduled maintenance activities, including occasional weekend maintenance windows. Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration, installation, configuration, and performance tuning. Experience supporting SAP ECC 6.0, S/4HANA, BW, BW on HANA, BOBJ, CRM, GRC, GTS, APO, SLT, and SAP Data Services. Experience performing SAP system upgrades and cloud migration projects. Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, SAP HANA, Windows, Linux, Unix, SQL Server, and DB2. Experience administering SAP Solution Manager 7.1 & 7.2. Hands-on experience with SAP Cloud Connector and SAP BTP administration. Experience configuring SAP Fiori applications. Knowledge of SSO technologies including Kerberos, SAML, and SPNEGO. Strong troubleshooting skills across SAP systems, databases, operating systems, and infrastructure. Excellent communication and collaboration skills in global, cross-functional environments. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with RevTrac, SAP Enable Now, Signavio, and EPIUSE. Experience in the Medical Device or Life Sciences industry. Experience with DB2 administration is highly preferred. Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively with global teams across multiple time zones. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new technologies. Comfortable participating in approximately 12 scheduled weekend maintenance windows per year.

Manage and optimize enterprise SAP environments across on-premises and cloud platforms, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning. Lead SAP ECC upgrades, S/4HANA migrations, and disaster recovery activities to ensure high system availability.

Requires extensive hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration across various databases and operating systems, specifically AWS and Azure. Candidates must be proficient in SAP Solution Manager, BTP, and Fiori configuration with strong troubleshooting skills.
