Job Title: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Employment Type: Contract (3–6 Months) Location: Remote – Canada Experience: 5–9 Years Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team on a 3–6 month contract. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in API Testing, Selenium, Java, and test automation with experience testing large-scale web and eCommerce applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks while ensuring high software quality throughout the development lifecycle. Required Skills Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) API Testing Selenium WebDriver Java TestNG Test Automation Frameworks Azure DevOps Selenium Grid Object Model Framework (POM) Web Application Testing Agile Methodology Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for web and API applications. Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation suites. Validate in-house and third-party software against business and technical requirements. Track and report quality metrics, including defects, test execution, and overall test status. Review, refactor, and optimize automation scripts following QA best practices. Identify, document, troubleshoot, and support resolution of software defects. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. Support testing of large-scale B2B/B2C eCommerce applications and integrations. Continuously improve QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5–9 years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Engineering. Strong hands-on experience with Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and API Testing. Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks using the Page Object Model (POM) or similar design patterns. Experience with Selenium Grid and cloud-based test execution. Knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD integration. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC. Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience testing enterprise-scale web and eCommerce applications. Experience with REST API automation tools such as Rest Assured or Postman. Knowledge of performance and integration testing. Java or other Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) certifications are an added advantage. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 5–9 years of experience in software testing. Candidates must have strong hands-on expertise in Java, Selenium, TestNG, and API automation within an Agile environment.
