Position Summary The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair, installation, and modification of all warehouse equipment. The primary objective of this role is to ensure optimal uptime and reliable performance of machinery and automated systems. Knowledge of electrical codes and the ability to interpret electrical drawings are considered strong assets. This is a stable, shop based position within a fully automated facility, requiring regular work in refrigerated and freezer environments. Compensation And Benefits Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week) Wage Range: $35.00-$45.00 Paid time off, including a paid birthday day off Group medical, dental, and vision benefits (company sponsored) Company-sponsored pension plan with employer-matched contributions Company events throughout the year (summer picnic, BBQs, annual Christmas party, etc.) Friendly and supportive workplace culture On-site parking Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, including large industrial refrigeration systems. Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and equipment. Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair proprietary automation and robotic equipment. Maintain and operate industrial power generation equipment. Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications, and schematics to effectively troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment. Perform preventative maintenance through the inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and components. Direct and train other workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, including automation and robotic equipment. Install or rework data, communication, security, and life safety systems. Adhere to the Preventative Maintenance Plan schedule. Perform other electrical projects as required. Qualifications And Skills Two to five (2–5) years of experience in the electrical field. Journeyperson Electrician (309A or 442A) preferred; however, registered electrician apprentices will also be considered. Working knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code. Understanding of AC and DC frequency drives would be an asset. Working knowledge of PLCs (AllenBradley) would be an asset. Refrigeration experience would be an asset. Working knowledge of data/communication and security wiring and systems. Schedule 8.5-hour shift with unpaid lunch Day, afternoon, or night shift Bi-weekly rotational shift requirement On call and Overtime, as needed Weekends, as needed Language Requirements French not required Location & Work Arrangement Kitchener, Ontario On-site position Candidates must be able to reliably commute or relocate prior to starting Occasional work at other company sites may be required.
