POSITION DESCRIPTION: We currently have an exciting role for a Equipment Operator in 100 Mile House, B.C. at our Gold Trail Facility. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: - Working knowledge of the waste management industry and related practices and policies. - Equipment Operation including backhoe and skid steer. - Follow all Safety Policy and Procedures daily, during operations, which includes wearing PPE and 2 way radio for site communication. - Conduct Pre and post trip inspections daily on equipment and tent, and report all maintenance needed. - Report all Incidents and Accidents immediately. - Responsible for Scatter picking work area. - Responsible for snow removal in the winter. - Responsible for fire suppression in the summer. - The shift for this position will run Tuesday - Saturday. QUALIFICATIONS: - Valid Class 5 Drivers License - Experience operating backhoe and skid steer would be considered an asset. - Previous experience operating machinery is considered an asset. - Flexibility and willingness to work simultaneously on a wide range of tasks and projects. - Experience in the waste industry is considered an asset. - Proven ability to work independently while being a team player. - Must be able to pass pre-employment testing - including D&A testing. The Equipment Operator will operate machinery such as backhoes and skid steers while adhering to safety policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include conducting inspections, reporting maintenance needs, and performing site maintenance tasks.

Candidates must possess a valid Class 5 Drivers License and have experience operating machinery, particularly backhoes and skid steers. Flexibility to work on various tasks and the ability to work independently while being a team player are also required.
