POSITION DESCRIPTION: We currently have an exciting role for a Equipment Operator in 100 Mile House, B.C. at our Gold Trail Facility. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: - Working knowledge of the waste management industry and related practices and policies. - Equipment Operation including backhoe and skid steer. - Follow all Safety Policy and Procedures daily, during operations, which includes wearing PPE and 2 way radio for site communication. - Conduct Pre and post trip inspections daily on equipment and tent, and report all maintenance needed. - Report all Incidents and Accidents immediately. - Responsible for Scatter picking work area. - Responsible for snow removal in the winter. - Responsible for fire suppression in the summer. - The shift for this position will run Tuesday - Saturday. QUALIFICATIONS: - Valid Class 5 Drivers License - Experience operating backhoe and skid steer would be considered an asset. - Previous experience operating machinery is considered an asset. - Flexibility and willingness to work simultaneously on a wide range of tasks and projects. - Experience in the waste industry is considered an asset. - Proven ability to work independently while being a team player. - Must be able to pass pre-employment testing - including D&A testing.
