As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in: * Contributing to engineering design assignments in a team environment on large multisector project teams * Participating in the development of concept, preliminary and detailed engineering drawings, designs, specifications and plans, including plan and profiles, sections and details, for design, tender, construction and as-constructed drawing sets, and contract documents * Preparing reports and other project related documentation * Participating in project management and planning on various projects * Assisting with preparing presentation materials and proposals * Proactively committing to creating a positive work environment * Supporting and/or developing Health & Safety programs * Collaborating with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi-disciplinary projects * Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed * Any other functions assigned as part of your employment To apply to this position, you should expect to have: * Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology Diploma from an accredited university/college, with coursework to include urban water systems, municipal infrastructure, construction engineering, hydrology, and transportation * 1-4 years of experience in a similar environment * Eligibility for P.Eng. with Professional Engineers Ontario * Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D * Ability to understand and come quickly up to speed on local development design standards and regulations * Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills * Comfortable interacting with public agencies, clients, contractors, and co-workers * Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues * A valid G license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from sites (mileage to sites compensated), including valid and appropriate vehicle insurance Why EnVision? * Competitive compensation and employer paid benefits package * Employer matching program * Opportunities for growth and mentorship * A positive work environment and culture, including social events and training sessions covering a wide variety of topics for the entire team * Be part of a fast-growing professional services company The salary for this position will be commensurate with the years of relevant experience and qualifications that the successful candidate brings to the role.
