EnVision Consultants Ltd. is looking for a bright, motivated, team-oriented person to join our Environmental team as an Environmental Technician based out of our Stoney Creek location. As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in: * Co-ordination and execution of field work associated with our services (including exposure to other disciplines); * Preparation of technical reports; * Communication with clients and other EnVision team members to assist with the development and execution of work; * Assisting in proposal preparation; * Ensuring high quality technical work, including field methodology, reporting, and client deliverables; * Fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement; * Proactively committing to creating a positive work environment; * Supporting Health and Safety programs and initiatives; * Collaborating with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi-disciplinary projects; * Travelling to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed; and, * Any other functions assigned as part of your employment. To apply to this position, you should expect to have: * An undergraduate degree in Geoscience, Engineering or a related discipline or technology/technician diploma * Knowledge of earth science, geology, hydrogeology, and environmental chemistry * Eligible for registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO), or Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) would be an asset * A valid G license, vehicle, and appropriate insurance * Comfortable interacting with the public, clients, contractors, and co-workers * Ability to progress towards working independently with minimal supervision * Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues * Ability to work outdoors, in all seasons and weather * Ability to up lift up to 50lbs Why EnVision? * Competitive compensation and employer paid benefits * Employer matching program * Opportunities for growth and mentorship * Positive work environment and culture, including social events and training sessions covering a wide variety of topics for the entire team * Employee Assistance program * Flexible work arrangements and schedules * Be part of a fast-growing professional services company The salary for this position will be commensurate with the years of relevant experience and qualifications that the successful candidate brings to the role. Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree in Geoscience, Engineering, or a related discipline, or a relevant technology diploma. A valid G license and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions are required.
