You’re the link between sales, operations, and supply chain — turning customer commitments into realistic, optimized plans, digging into the data behind capacity and inventory, and solving the day-to-day challenges that stand between a job order and on-time delivery. You’ll maintain the master data our entire operation relies on, lead the planning conversations that keep everyone aligned, and continually look for ways to do things better. This is a role for a confident, outgoing problem-solver who wants their decisions to count. What You’ll Do * Own, build, and optimize the production schedule across all Emmerson Packaging equipment using SAP * Plan cost-center utilization to drive maximum productivity and throughput * Identify, recommend, and champion continuous improvement opportunities across the planning process * Ensure inventory and WIP targets are consistently met * Set and confidently communicate job order completion dates * Partner with internal departments to align on all planning activities * Coordinate the availability of artwork, plates, and film * Anticipate, resolve, and communicate scheduling and resource conflicts before they become bottlenecks * Lead and contribute to regular production planning and coordination meetings * Plan equipment downtime in coordination with maintenance * Create and maintain accurate materials and master data in SAP * Ensure accurate shop floor papers for Operations * Build and run reports on master data accuracy, capacity, inventory status, and other operational needs What You Bring * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to make decisions and own the outcome * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you’re comfortable collaborating across teams * A proactive, outgoing approach and a genuine drive to contribute * A solid understanding of lean manufacturing and process planning * Strong mechanical aptitude * Proven expertise with flexible packaging technology * Sharp attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy * Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities effectively * Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Requirements * 3+ years of experience in a production planning or scheduling role within a manufacturing environment * Hands-on experience with an ERP system (SAP strongly preferred) * Post-secondary education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred * Business degree or Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma * Knowledge of flexographic print production equipment * Experience in flexible packaging or a related manufacturing industry What’s In It For YOU? * Competitive wages * Comprehensive health and dental benefits * Defined contribution pension plan * Profit Sharing program * Training and development support * On-site gym and cafeteria * Being part of an awesome team Sound like you?
