What you'll be doing * Champion a "Safety First" culture by modeling safe practices and promoting safety awareness across the team. * Set up and adjust tooling for features specified in CNC programs, ensuring accuracy per drawings and CAD/CAM files. * Operate and maintain sheet metal punch or similar CNC equipment, retrieving and loading programs via machine computer. * Sharpen tooling using powered grinding equipment to maintain optimal performance. * Perform routine maintenance and tool selection by reading and adhering to Operation Manuals. * Maintain a clean and organized work area, including machines, tools, and equipment. * Accurately complete and submit all required production paperwork and documentation. What you'll have * High school diploma or equivalent required; certification from a technical school preferred. * 2+ years of experience operating sheet metal punches or similar CNC equipment. * Ability to read and interpret prints, specifications, and diagrams. * Strong understanding of shop math and units of measurement. * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. * Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a team environment. Physical requirements and work environment * Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods in an active manufacturing facility. * Ability to regularly lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs. * Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts. * Exposure to moderate-to-high noise levels and varying temperatures. Safety requirements * PPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots). * Hazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions. * Standards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training. * Organization: Keep all work areas clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents.
