What you'll be doing * Champion a "Safety First" culture by modeling safe practices and promoting safety awareness across the team. * Set up and operate Amada and Mitsubishi press brake machines to bend sheet metal to specification. * Read and interpret prints, diagrams, and work orders to make proper machine and tooling adjustments. * Retrieve and load programs using the machine computer in accordance with drawings and CAD/CAM files. * Partner with QC Inspectors on First Article Inspections and correct defects as needed to maintain quality standards. * Perform routine machine maintenance per the Operation Manual to ensure optimal equipment performance. * Accurately complete fabrication records and traveler papers. * Maintain a clean and organized work area, machine, and tooling. What you'll have * High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school certificate preferred. * 3–4 years of experience operating Amada press brakes or similar equipment. * Ability to read and interpret prints, specifications, and diagrams. * Strong shop math skills and units of measurement knowledge. * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. * Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively within a team environment. Physical requirements and work environment * Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods in an active manufacturing facility. * Ability to regularly lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs. * Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to electrical hazards. * Exposure to moderate-to-high noise levels and varying temperatures. Safety requirements * PPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots). * Hazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions. * Standards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training. * Organization: Keep all work areas clean and free of obstructions to prevent workplace accidents.
