Structural Engineer

Company Description: EVB Engineering is a Cornwall based firm with a client base in Eastern Ontario. Our projects cover a vast array of municipal, commercial, land development, institutional and industrial clients. We are currently searching for a motivated Structural Engineer to complement our team. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of project delivery including proposal writing, design, communicating with clients and staff, and contract administration. To learn more about our firm please visit www.EVBEngineering.com Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of proposals to address our clients needs; Prepare conceptual, preliminary and detailed structural design drawings and specifications for various structural projects; Visit sites to check on construction progress and inspect the works; and Liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and other construction professionals, sometimes managing the design project team. Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering; P. Eng. designation with PEO is mandatory; Minimum of six (6) years of structural engineering design experience; Strong organization and communication skills; Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code; Knowledge of various structural design and CAD/BIM software (CAD, Revit, Robot, Structure Point Software, etc.); Fast learner with the desire to grow professionally. Candidates must have a degree in Civil Engineering and a P. Eng. designation with PEO. A minimum of six years of structural engineering design experience is required, along with strong organizational and communication skills.
