Senior Embedded C++ Software Engineer (C++/.NET) 📍 Location: Montreal, QC (Hybrid/Onsite) 🕒 Employment Type: Contract-to-Permanent (Temporary to Full-Time) We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded C++ Software Engineer to join our client's engineering team. This role focuses on developing software for integrated hardware devices, requiring strong expertise in embedded systems, firmware, and hardware-software integration. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using modern C++. Develop and support firmware for integrated hardware devices. Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and cross-functional engineering teams. Perform hardware-software integration, debugging, and troubleshooting. Develop applications using the latest .NET technologies. Create and execute unit tests and regression tests to ensure software quality. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous product improvement. Support product validation and system integration activities. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in C++ software development. Strong expertise in modern C++ (C++11/14/17 or later). Experience with embedded systems and integrated hardware devices. Hands-on experience in firmware development. Experience with hardware-software integration and device communication. Proficiency with the latest .NET framework/.NET Core/.NET 6+. Experience with unit testing and regression testing. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with embedded Linux or RTOS environments. Knowledge of hardware communication protocols (USB, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, etc.). Familiarity with CI/CD and version control tools (Git). Experience working with test automation is a plus. Language Requirements French: Working proficiency required (able to communicate in meetings; perfect fluency is not necessary). English: Professional working proficiency. Why Join?
