PARTS CLERK – INSURANCE CLAIMS Permanent Position Laval or Montreal Branch Do you know vehicle parts and have experience working with insurance claims, claim files, or damage estimates? Do you enjoy reviewing a file, identifying the right parts, preparing a complete estimate, and following up with insurance companies? At Excellence Peterbilt, we’re looking for someone who combines parts knowledge, strong attention to detail, and experience handling insurance claims to help keep our repair process running smoothly. If you know the parts business and you’re comfortable managing insurance claims, we want to meet you. This position can be based at either our Laval branch or our Montreal branch in Pointe-aux-Trembles. Your Schedule Day shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Your Role In this position, you’ll manage files related to accident-damaged vehicles, from assessing and documenting the damage to following up with insurance companies and ordering the parts required for repairs. Your goal: build complete and accurate files, identify the right parts, and ensure effective communication between insurance companies, customers, and our team. More specifically, you’ll be responsible for: Inspecting vehicles to identify and document damage Taking the photos, measurements, and information required to prepare each file Identifying and researching the parts required for repairs Preparing detailed estimates for insurance claims Communicating with insurance companies and completing the necessary follow-ups Obtaining repair authorizations from insurance companies and following up as required Ordering the necessary parts and tracking orders Researching manufacturer repair procedures, specifications, and recommendations Maintaining accurate, complete, and up-to-date documentation Communicating with customers and other stakeholders regarding file status, timelines, delays, or changes Working closely with the Parts, Service, and Body Shop departments What We’re Looking For Experience with automotive or heavy-duty vehicle parts Experience handling insurance claims, claim files, or damage estimates Body shop experience or knowledge of body parts (a strong asset) Strong ability to research and identify parts Comfortable using computer systems and electronic parts lookup tools Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail when preparing and following up on files Ability to manage multiple files and priorities at the same time Independence, resourcefulness, and strong organizational skills Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders We’re particularly interested in your experience with parts and insurance claims. Heavy-duty truck experience is an asset, but we’re also open to candidates from the automotive or collision repair industry who have the knowledge and experience we’re looking for.
