Job Summary Exegy is seeking a Web Developer to join our engineering team in building, enhancing, and maintaining our client portal and web-based platforms. In this role, you will focus on crafting responsive user interfaces, developing API integrations, and improving front-end performance so global clients can seamlessly interact with Exegy’s services. Working alongside senior engineers, Product, and Client Services, you’ll bring clean code, intuitive UI component design, and solid full-stack web fundamentals to high-visibility production web applications. Location St. Louis, MO | Montreal, Canada | Belfast, UK (Hybrid) Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain responsive, client-facing portal features using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and front-end frameworks Develop backend services, RESTful API integrations, and data connections using Python or Node.js Turn wireframes, user stories, and product specifications into accessible, high-performing web pages and interface components Write clean, testable code and expand automated unit, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) testing suites Participate in active code reviews, sprint planning, and front-end design discussions Diagnose and resolve client-side UI bugs, cross-browser issues, API integration failures, and performance bottlenecks Support CI/CD deployment workflows and maintain clear technical documentation for web components and workflows Partner cross-functionally to refine requirements and continuously optimize user experience Qualifications Professional experience building, shipping, and supporting production web applications Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, with hands-on experience using modern front-end frameworks (React strongly preferred) Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and connecting backend web services Experience with Python (FastAPI/Flask) or Node.js for server-side logic Solid understanding of core web standards (HTML5, CSS3/SASS, DOM manipulation, responsive design) Familiarity with relational databases, Git, automated testing frameworks, and modern web deployment pipelines Strong troubleshooting skills and an eager, collaborative approach to problem-solving Demonstrated ownership of complex technical projects or production applications Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and nontechnical teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with React, TypeScript, and Vite build tooling Experience with Python and FastAPI Experience developing B2B SaaS interfaces, enterprise portals, or client dashboards Familiarity with web application security (OAuth, JWT, CORS) and performance optimization Background or interest in fintech, capital markets, or market data platforms Experience integrating AI-enabled services or workflows into business applications Experience working within globally distributed engineering teams

You will design, build, and maintain responsive, client-facing portal features using modern JavaScript and backend services. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize user experience and ensure high-performing web applications.

Candidates must have professional experience building and supporting production web applications with proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks. Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with RESTful APIs and server-side logic are also required.
