Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Technology Operations Specialist to join their dynamic team. As a Technology Operations Specialist, you will be an integral part of the IT Operations department supporting critical infrastructure and applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate resilience, analytical thinking, and a proactive mindset, which will enable you to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Job Title: Technology Operations Specialist Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid 2-3 days per week on site) Contract Duration : 6 Months with strong possibility of extension. What's the Job? Maintain 24/7/365 availability, monitoring, and restoration of mission-critical systems and applications. Drive incident recovery processes, perform root-cause analysis, and deploy code directly to production environments while adhering to service level agreements. Partner with development teams to implement automated enterprise logging, self-healing monitoring systems, and operational workflow improvements. Support mainframe/host environments, network, and storage infrastructure to ensure seamless operations. Utilize tools such as Jira and Confluence for incident and problem management, ensuring efficient troubleshooting and documentation. What's Needed? 6+ years of experience in IT or systems operations, with a focus on maintaining high availability and operational excellence. Must have Experience in Banking - Lending, Credit Card, Loan servicing. Experience in incident/problem management, production code deployment, and analytical troubleshooting. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent field. Proficiency with mainframe/host environments, Jira, and Confluence. Knowledge of enterprise monitoring and logging tools, network and storage infrastructure support, and building self-healing IT solutions is advantageous. What's in it for me?
