Position: Scrum Master, Insurance & Digital Channels Employment Type: Permanent Compensation Details: Scrum Master 18: Salaries typically range from $96,557 to $128,743 annually, based on qualifications and experiences, plus a performance-based incentive. Location: Export Development Canada operates under a hybrid work model, with employees currently required to work from the office two days per week. Effective September 2026, this requirement will increase to three days per week and will be implemented gradually through a phased approach based on employee location. (subject to change). Team Overview: The Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) group under the leadership of the Chief Information Officer was established in 2023 with the mission of empowering our customers and colleagues to take on the world, by seamlessly delivering secure and reliable digital experiences. Digital & Technology Solutions has set out to achieve the following objectives for EDC: Define, execute, and sustain the integrated technology target state, target data model and technology operations required to enable EDC’s 2030 business transformation. Establish and manage the rolling 3 Year Digital Roadmap that sequences the technology outcomes required to achieve the technology target state and facilitate its execution across all domains in the organization. Keep pace with industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring EDC has access to the digital technology tools it needs to stay relevant in the market and grow Canadian global trade. Lead and ensure integrated digital, data, infrastructure, and cybersecurity implementations to create excellent customer, user, and employee experiences. The Scrum Master supports the team’s ability to deliver on their committed goal. The successful candidate will help teams learn and adopt delivery best practices, facilitate agile events, and remove impediments. This individual is also a personal coach for team members and an innovator who constantly seeks continuous improvement and builds high performing teams. What you will be doing: Agile Delivery Planning & Team Facilitation: Lead scrum ceremonies and facilitate planning, prioritization, and execution activities. Support the development and delivery of annual OKRs and quarterly delivery plans, ensuring alignment between business priorities and team commitments. Manage dependencies, remove impediments, and enable teams to deliver against agreed objectives and timelines. Delivery Management & Execution Oversight: Maintain delivery plans, monitor progress against milestones, coordinate cross-team activities, and provide clear status reporting to support successful delivery of business and technology outcomes. Risk, Issue & Dependency Management: Identify, track, and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints. Facilitate resolution through collaboration, escalation, and mitigation planning to minimize delivery impacts. Stakeholder Management & Governance: Build strong relationships with business, technology, vendor, and executive stakeholders. Manage expectations, facilitate alignment, and ensure visibility into delivery progress, risks, decisions, and priorities. Continuous Improvement: Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance team effectiveness, delivery practices, and operational processes. Team Collaboration & Enablement: Foster collaboration, transparency, and knowledge sharing within and across teams. Clarify team objectives and interdependencies while empowering teams to take ownership of their delivery outcomes. What we are looking for: Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce or Business Administration. Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager. Minimum 2 years’ of experience working within a digital journey or digitalization project(s). Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile principles, DevOps and the Scrum and Kanban Frameworks. What will make you stand out: Scrum Master and/or PM certification (e.g. PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, DASSM). Experience in financial industry / insurance, products and services . Knowledge of AzureDevOps and Planview applications. Project management experience. Bilingual in both official languages (English and French). The Scrum Master facilitates agile ceremonies, manages dependencies, and removes impediments to ensure the team meets its delivery goals. They also provide coaching to team members and foster continuous improvement across digital and technology projects.

Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant field and possess at least 7 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of experience in digital journey or digitalization projects is required.
