Role Description The Insurance Broker role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Edmonton Metropolitan Area. The Insurance Broker will consult with clients to assess their coverage needs, explain insurance products and options, and recommend tailored solutions across personal, commercial, and specialty lines. Daily activities include preparing quotes, processing applications, reviewing policy terms, and coordinating renewals and amendments. The role involves managing a portfolio of clients, responding to inquiries, handling basic claims-related questions, and maintaining accurate records in internal systems. The Insurance Broker will collaborate with carriers, support compliance with regulatory requirements, and contribute to business development through referrals and local networking. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Insurance Brokerage and Insurance skills to advise clients, compare policies, and navigate carrier offerings. Candidates should possess Finance and Retirement Planning skills to discuss long-term financial protection, risk management, and coverage alignment with client goals. Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to build relationships, handle inquiries professionally, and provide responsive, solutions-focused support. Relevant provincial insurance licensing (or eligibility to obtain it promptly) and knowledge of Canadian insurance regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and neutrally. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and comfort working with digital tools and agency management systems. Experience in personal and/or commercial lines insurance is beneficial; previous brokerage or financial services experience is an asset.
