<p>I?m Leila Chanteau, Recruitment Consultant at FED Supply, specializing in recruiting professionals in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, and Procurement. <br> <br>Today, I?m excited to present an excellent opportunity for a Dispatch Supervisor with a well-established company operating in the marine and ground transportation industry, recognized for its strong operations and dynamic work environment.</p> <strong>Mission</strong> <p>Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the dispatch team. This is a newly created position designed to support the Director with operational management and ensure the smooth execution of daily dispatch activities. <br> <br>You will act as the Director's right hand by providing hands-on leadership while remaining ready to step into operations whenever required. <br> <br>Key Responsibilities <br>Supervise the daily operations of the dispatch department. <br>Lead, coach, and support a team of four dispatchers. <br>Conduct performance evaluations and contribute to employee development. <br>Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports using Excel. <br>Review dispatch schedules and validate data entered into the system. <br>Ensure compliance with priorities, procedures, and delivery deadlines. <br>Quickly resolve operational issues and support the team during peak periods. <br>Provide operational coverage for dispatchers during vacations or absences when required. <br>Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and departmental projects.</p> <strong>Your profile</strong> <p>Experience in dispatching or within a trucking/transportation company. <br>Previous supervisory or team leadership experience. <br>Strong hands-on leadership skills with the ability to motivate an experienced team. <br>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. <br>Ability to make sound decisions quickly and work independently. <br>Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. <br>Experience working with 53-foot trailer operations is considered a strong asset. <br>Knowledge of AS400 is an asset. <br>Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite. <br>Requirements <br>Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written). <br>Availability to participate in an on-call rotation one Saturday out of every four or five, working remotely from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 12:00/1:00 p.m. <br>What Our Client Offers <br>Salary between $75,000 and $85,000, with flexibility up to $90,000 for an exceptional candidate. <br>Annual performance bonus of up to 10%. <br>37.5-hour work week. <br>Hybrid work model (3 days in the office / 2 days remote). <br>Comprehensive group benefits, including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance. <br>Group RRSP with employer contributions of up to 5%. <br>Stable, collaborative, and supportive work environment. <br>Opportunity to join a reputable organization offering long-term career growth and development.</p> <br><br>
