MISSION You will be the primary HR point of contact for Fime in Canada, supporting our team located in Montreal. Reporting to the CHRO, you will manage the end‑to‑end employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding ensuring that local HR practices are compliant, efficient, and aligned with Group policies. You will work closely with managers and the senior leadership to deliver a high‑quality employee experience and support business growth across the region. ACTIVITIES * Own the employee lifecycle in Montreal, Canada. Manage onboarding, probation, contract changes, promotions, performance reviews, and offboarding, ensuring a consistent and compliant experience for employees in the country. * Act as HR partner to local management. Advise managers on people topics such as performance, development, organisation changes, and employee relations, helping them apply Fime’s HR policies and good management practices. * Manage HR operations & compliance. Oversee HR administration, contracts, employment documentation and record keeping, ensuring compliance with labour law, social insurance, and internal policies; prepare bimonthly payroll for the Canadian entity. * Support performance & development cycles. Help performance review processes, support managers in goal setting and feedback, and help identify development and training needs for employees. * Handle employee relations and engagement. Manage day to day employee relations topics with confidentiality and fairness, and contribute to local engagement initiatives and internal communications. * Contribute to compensation & benefits topics. Support salary reviews and promotion processes by providing local HR input, and help employees understand their compensation and benefits. * Implement global HR initiatives locally. Roll out Group HR programs, policies, and tools in your region and ensure their implementation. * Partner with Global Talent Acquisition team for recruitment activities. Cooperate with GTA team on interview coordination and offers, ensuring smooth handover from hiring to onboarding. * Maintain HR data & reporting. Collaborate with the global HR Service Partner team to ensure HR data accuracy in systems, and prepare regular HR reports and dashboards (headcount, turnover, probation outcomes, absenteeism) to support local and Group decision making. JOB EXPERIENCE * 5–8 years of broad HR generalist experience, including responsibility for the full employee lifecycle. * Strong experience with Quebec labour law, with solid knowledge of local HR practices, payroll coordination, and statutory requirements. * Proven track record in HR operations and employee relations within an international or multi‑national company. * Experience partnering with managers on performance management, development, and organisational topics. * Experience supporting or exposure to HR activities in the USA is a strong advantage. Nice to have: * Experience in technology, consulting, or professional services environments. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS * Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification is an advantage. * In‑depth understanding of local employment law, payroll and benefits administration, and local regulatory requirements. * Good working knowledge of core HR processes: performance management, compensation principles, benefits basics, and employee relations. * Ability to interpret and apply local regulations pragmatically while aligning with global HR policies and frameworks. * Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to handle sensitive topics with discretion and professionalism. * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple countries, priorities, and deadlines. * Problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, with a balanced, pragmatic approach to complex people issues. * Comfortable working in an international and across time zones. * Fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
