Client Accounting Manager (CPA – Public Practice Background Preferred) Hybrid | Richmond Hill, ON Finalyze is a growing CPA and advisory firm serving real estate investors, developers, contractors, and owner-managed businesses across Canada and the US. We are looking for a hands-on Client Accounting Manager to help build the next stage of our growing firm. This role is ideal for a CPA with public accounting experience who enjoys reviewing files, mentoring staff, improving processes, and working directly with clients. You'll play a key role in helping us deliver high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services while supporting the development of our team and operational systems. Key Responsibilities Review month-end accounting files, reconciliations, and working papers prepared by staff Review compilation engagement files and financial statements in Caseware Support and mentor bookkeeping and accounting team members through coaching and review notes Help improve file quality, month-end close processes, and turnaround times Coordinate with tax, advisory, and external specialists across client engagements Support real estate and property accounting clients, including Yardi-based engagements Assist with onboarding new clients and creating a superior client experience Help develop scalable processes, controls, and workflow visibility across the firm Communicate directly with clients and become a trusted advisor to business owners and investors Opportunity to expand into CFO advisory, financial modelling, capital raising support, and strategic finance initiatives Qualifications CPA designation preferred Public accounting experience strongly preferred Strong experience reviewing financial statements and working papers in Caseware Strong accounting, reconciliation, and analytical skills Experience coaching team members and reviewing their work Experience with QBO, Xero, and/or Yardi is an asset Experience serving owner-managed businesses is an asset Real estate, construction, or property accounting experience is an asset Strong Excel skills and attention to detail Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment Why Join Finalyze?
