About the Role The Company is a client-focused CPA firm serving individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations across a wide range of industries. We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, experience with QuickBooks Online, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records while supporting clients with their day-to-day bookkeeping needs. This role works exclusively on the U.S. market, serving U.S.-based clients under U.S. GAAP and the U.S. federal and state tax framework. What You'll Do Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping and account reconciliations Record and maintain accurate financial transactions Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts Prepare monthly financial statements and reports Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes Identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements Communicate professionally with clients and team members What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience Strong experience with QuickBooks Online (required) QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor Certification highly preferred Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) (required) Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have Experience with U.S. tax preparation, including business and/or individual tax returns Prior experience in a public accounting or client accounting services environment Positive, client-focused attitude Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage Paid time off Total target compensation: CAD $48,000 – $58,000 Location: Oakville, Ontario
