Scrum Master About Fintex Inc. At Fintex Inc., we are a team of seasoned entrepreneurs dedicated to transforming wealth management through leveraging cutting-edge technology. Our leadership team brings a wealth of experience in ideating, building, and launching sophisticated digital solutions within top Canadian financial institutions. As we push the boundaries of digital innovation, we are looking for passionate individuals who share our vision and are excited to shape the future of wealth and asset management. About the Role As a Scrum Master at Fintex, you will play a critical role in driving agile excellence and enabling high-performing teams to deliver innovative digital solutions within the wealth and asset management space. You will be the catalyst for collaboration—facilitating seamless communication between business stakeholders, product teams, and technical developers while fostering an environment of continuous improvement and delivery. In this role, you'll need to understand the complexities of financial technology projects and stay ahead of agile best practices, while also thinking creatively about how to remove obstacles and empower teams to do their best work. You will require servant leadership, strong facilitation skills, and a hands-on approach to ensure that teams operate efficiently and deliver value consistently. Responsibilities Facilitate agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews to drive team productivity and alignment. Champion agile principles and practices, coaching teams and stakeholders on agile methodologies and continuous improvement. Identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress, proactively addressing blockers before they impact delivery. Foster collaboration between cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment across business, design, and technical stakeholders. Track and communicate team metrics, sprint progress, and velocity to drive transparency and data-informed decision-making. As part of a fast-growing company, contribute across multiple areas of the business, wearing different hats as needed. Qualifications Strong experience in the wealth management or financial services industry—this is essential. Deep understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) with relevant certifications (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) preferred. Passion for technology and the ability to understand how digital transformation impacts traditional financial processes. Hands-on experience facilitating agile teams working on complex technical products, ideally in fintech or wealth management. Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, with a proven track record of building high-performing, collaborative teams.
