ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – DISTRIBUTION Role Overview At Encepta, our engineering teams help deliver practical, high-quality infrastructure solutions across telecommunications and utility networks. We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer – Distribution to support a major joint-use infrastructure program in British Columbia. This is a technically focused role for a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with strong experience in electrical distribution, aerial infrastructure and pole systems. You’ll play a key role in reviewing engineering work and providing technical guidance while gaining exposure to both the electrical utility and telecommunications sides of joint-use infrastructure. What You’ll Work On You’ll provide engineering expertise across aerial electrical distribution and joint-use infrastructure, with a strong focus on technical review and engineering quality. You’ll also: Review electrical distribution designs and technical deliverables for accuracy, quality and compliance Support engineering work involving aerial distribution systems and pole infrastructure Apply professional engineering judgement to identify and resolve technical issues Support utility pole replacement, relocation and joint-use infrastructure projects Collaborate with internal project teams supporting electrical and telecommunications infrastructure Help ensure project work meets applicable engineering requirements and client expectations Contribute to the successful delivery of a large-scale pole infrastructure program in British Columbia What You’ll Bring You’ll be a strong fit for this role if you have: A Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing At least 3-5 years of relevant engineering experience Strong experience in electrical distribution Experience working with aerial distribution systems Practical knowledge of pole infrastructure Strong technical review skills and the ability to assess engineering work independently Sound engineering judgement and a strong focus on quality What Makes Someone Successful in This Role You are technically strong and confident reviewing engineering work.
