Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Pipelayer to work on underground utility projects located in Saskatchewan. Duties include (but are not limited to): Installation of water, storm and sanitary pipe Follow the established grade for water, storm and sanitary pipe Work closely with mainline operator and top man to ensure efficient flow and production Provide a high degree of clear communication with operators, top man and workers in the ditch to maintain safe operations and quality installation Continuous assessment of risk and implementation of required controls / mitigations Complete site documentation as required Participate in inspections and incidents - address deficiencies / issues through corrective actions Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity Required Skills: 3+ years of pipelayer experience is required Underground utility rehabilitation / replacement experience is an asset Ability to read blueprints High attention to detail and management of quality specifications Safety conscious Strong understanding of pipe installation process and flow logistics Competent in the use of various rigging techniques and mechanisms Able to work independently and follow instruction from the foreman Able to support other positions as needed Strong communication skills – provide instructions clearly with sufficient detail Ability to mentor workers for advancement Physically capable of performing heavy manual labour Consistent, reliable and always show up for work fit for duty Required Certifications: CSTS 2020 WHMIS 2015 Ground Disturbance Level 2 Confined Space Fall Protection is an asset
