Project Manager – Water & Sewer Salary: $120,000+ (based on experience and formal education) Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong Water & Sewer background to oversee underground infrastructure and civil construction projects in the Edmonton area. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing large-scale civil projects, preparing estimates and bids, coordinating project execution, and maintaining project budgets from start to finish. Responsibilities Manage water, sewer, and civil construction projects from planning through completion. Prepare accurate project estimates, bid submissions, and tender packages. Perform quantity and material take-offs from drawings and specifications. Coordinate and schedule large-scale construction projects to ensure milestones and deadlines are met. Track project budgets, costs, forecasts, and overall financial performance. Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities to improve project efficiency and profitability. Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, site supervisors, and internal project teams. Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders. Monitor project progress to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, progress reports, and project closeout. Promote and enforce company health, safety, and environmental policies. Conduct oneself in a professional manner with honesty and integrity. Required Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience in civil construction. Proven experience managing Water & Sewer infrastructure projects. Extensive experience preparing estimates, bids, and tender submissions. Experience coordinating and scheduling large-scale construction projects. Strong knowledge of project budgeting, cost analysis, and cost tracking. Experience performing quantity and material take-offs. Proficiency with Bid2Win is required. Strong understanding of underground utility construction methods. Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract. Preferred Qualifications Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field is considered an asset. Experience working on municipal infrastructure projects is considered an asset. Experience with additional estimating or project management software is considered an asset. Certifications The following certifications are considered strong assets (or may be required depending on the project): CSTS 2020 WHMIS 2015 Ground Disturbance Level II Standard First Aid Leadership for Safety Excellence Confined Space Entry Fall Protection
