We are seeking a detail-oriented Underwriter/Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in financial services and risk analysis, with excellent mathematical skills. Key Responsibilities Perform in-depth analysis of prospective clients by reviewing supporting documents including bank statements, cashflows, applications, etc. Request and verify documents for application completeness Approve or decline applications Monitor compliance and follow up with credit agreement breaches and submit status report to credit committee Prioritize applications and workflow to ensure consistent and sound risk assessments are maintained while managing high volumes and a continued focus on service excellence. Stays current with latest industry knowledge, competition and market trends Communicate and coordinate with agents, clients and partners Assist credit committee in developing underwriting standards and compliance and control requirements Participate in the collections review committee and establish remedial actions plans based on delinquent accounts Key Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Strong mathematical and analytical skills for data analysis and risk assessment Knowledge of financial services and underwriting principles Previous experience in a similar role as an underwriter or adjustor would be an asset Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills What the company offers its employees: Work with smart, fun, and motivated teammates in a rapidly growing company Career and income growth Training, guidance, and direction Opportunities to lead and mentor within the underwriting department Casual dress Company events/ Celebrations of team success On-site parking The salary range for this role is $60-75k (depending on experience).
