Health & Safety Administrator

As a Health and Safety Administraor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of onsite construction activities by identifying onsite construction hazards and provide support to mitigate hazards using prescribed methods. What you will be doing Identifies and documents onsite safety risks or discrepancies during daily site walks. Tracks safety issues daily and recommends strategies to eliminate hazards, as needed. Evaluates and identifies all safety equipment needs for project work. Participates in daily and weekly meetings to ensure all necessary equipment is ordered, stocked and available for upcoming work. Assists in investigations and reporting regarding accidents, injuries or illnesses, fire, property damage and other safety related incidents to ensure timely and compliant resolutions. Recommends improvements based on reporting trends. Works closely with onsite work crews to provide first aid and emergency services to any onsite injury or incident. Ensures worksite injuries are accurately documented and offsite medical clinics attend to employee injury in an accurate and timely manner. Supports evaluation of subcontractors and subcontractor safety programs. Notifies management of any non-compliant safety procedures and participates in corrective action discussions to resolve in a timely manner. What we are looking for High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in organizational health & safety or related field preferred. Experience in construction industry or safety internship preferred. Able to take ownership for assigned tasks, as defined by supervisor. General knowledge of construction site equipment, methods and processes. Verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills required. Growing knowledge to control or eliminate hazards following prescribed methods. The Health & Safety Administrator identifies and documents onsite construction hazards while tracking safety issues to recommend effective mitigation strategies. They also assist in incident investigations, provide first aid, and ensure all safety equipment is properly stocked and available for project work.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, with a Bachelor’s degree in organizational health & safety preferred. Experience in the construction industry or a safety internship is highly desired along with strong communication skills.
