Overview Are you ready to lead with expertise and take on complex engineering challenges?As a Project Coordinator - Mechanical you will provide technical leadership in the design, review, and oversight of mechanical systems across major projects, ensuring all work complies with engineering standards, codes, and contract specifications. What you will be doing Plan, direct, and coordinate on-site mechanical and electrical activities to comply with specifications, requirements, and codes Coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference problems Provide directions during functional performance testing of all mechanical and electrical systems Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in updating and achieving schedule requirements, mechanical and electrical RFI’s and shop drawings and administrate mechanical/electrical project completion requirements Provide technical engineering information and interpretation of plans, detail sheets, and specifications for contractors Report accurate quantities for labour cost reports and accurately monitor material ledgers to ensure quantities in estimate are sufficient to complete the project Find solutions to conflicts in structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and specifications and follow-up with consultants and sub-trades to completion Ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instruction Review scope for early procurement items Responsible of M&E subcontractor cost and tracking and deviations from initial contract Commissioning of the equipment’s and hand over What we are looking for Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related discipline Engineer in Training (EIT) required; Professional Engineering License (PE/PENG) preferred. 5-7 years of relevant experience in heavy civil projects or bridges structures Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Knowledge with MS Project is required Knowledge of SketchUp is recommended Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred Ability to analyze data Strong work ethic Strong communication skills Collaborative attitude and strong teamwork skills Exceptional organization skills and high attention to detail Why work for us Some of the benefits you may be eligible for as an employee are: Comprehensive compensation package and paid time off program Industry leading 401(k)/RRSP Medical/Extended Health Care, Dental, Vision and/or Provincial Medical Wellness benefits & Employee Assistance Program Tuition Reimbursement Program We are an EEO/ADA/Veterans employer.
