Cashier Merchandiser

We are a family run business located in Oakville, ON since 1977. We pride ourselves in delivery excellent customer service and quality products. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team in a fast paced environment. The cashier/merchandiser will directly interact with customers, helping them make their shopping experience a successful one. If you are a foodie, we have a job for you! Schedule: • This position requires that you be available to work full-time. Sunday and Mondays the store is closed. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a cashier to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Cashier is regularly required to: • Stand and/or walk. • Bend, twist, and squat. • Lift and/or move up to 18 kg (10 lbs.). • Perform tasks involving firm grasping. • Perform repetitive tasks requiring a range of hand motions. • Reach above shoulder height and below waist level. Duties: Cashing out customers Assisting them with their purchases Merchandising grocery shelves in an attractive manner when needed Keeping track of inventory and advising on re-orders Familiarize yourself with the groceries we carry in order to assist customers Answering the phone when necessary Taking down orders over the phone or with in-person customers.

The role involves processing customer transactions and assisting shoppers with their purchases. Additionally, the employee is responsible for merchandising grocery shelves and managing inventory re-orders.

Candidates must be available for full-time work and capable of meeting physical demands such as lifting up to 18 kg and standing for long periods. A passion for food and a commitment to excellent customer service are desired.
