The hourly wage for this position starts at $16.60 and is established in accordance with the collective agreement. Depending on a candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, and prior experience, a higher hourly wage may be offered. Any hourly wage offered for this role, whether starting or higher, will fall within the wage scale established for this position in accordance with the collective agreement. General Qualifications Customer service driven Able to stock merchandise and create displays Good product knowledge and attention to detail Able to lift up to 50 pounds Retail experience considered an asset. Able to stand for long periods of time and work under minimal supervision Must be available to work flexible shifts which may include nights, weekend and holidays The responsibilities and relationships assigned to this role may change as is necessary to achieve Metro's business objectives. The Grocery Clerk is responsible for serving customers and acting as a brand ambassador for the store. Key duties include stocking merchandise, creating displays, and ensuring products are up to standard.

Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work flexible shifts including nights and weekends. Retail experience is considered an asset, and a customer-service-driven attitude is required.
