Yard Equipment/Forklift Operator

Foremost has an immediate opening for a full-time Yard Equipment/Forklift Operator for our facility located in Hythe, Alberta. This position reports to our Production Manager and is responsible for the loading and unloading of trucks, minor maintenance work, supporting control with inventory documentation and full adherence and full adherence to safety compliance regulations. Responsibilities: * Operate forklifts and equipment in a safe manner * Perform pre-operational inspections * Determine safe lifting capacities * Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platform, cars, transport trucks and lifting devices * Ship and receive products * Support inventory control with accurate documentation * Follow all workplace safety policies, and compliance regulations * Work with production to ensure efficient flow of needed materials * Perform routine maintenance * Other duties as assigned Qualifications : * Forklift Safety Training certificate an asset * Experience with routine maintenance operations * Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment * Able to effectively communicate verbally * Able to work well under pressure * Able to work independently and with minimal direction to all written and verbal work instructions * Strong attention to detail * Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times * Strong work ethic and positive team attitude * Must be physically able to lift heavy material * Safety training an asset, but will train as required What we Offer * Competitive Compensation. * In-depth Safety Program. Responsible for the safe operation of forklifts to load and unload materials and products. Supports inventory control through accurate documentation and performs routine equipment maintenance.

Requires the physical ability to lift heavy materials and strong interpersonal skills. A forklift safety training certificate and experience with routine maintenance are considered assets.
