Yard Personnel

Foremost has an immediate opening for a Yard Personnel Labourer/Forklift Operator reporting into our Paint Foreman at our facility located in Stettler, Alberta. Key Responsibilities Operate equipment in a safe manner, perform pre-operational inspections. * Determine safe lifting capacities. * Operates various equipment with related attachments. * Load and unload materials into and out of paint shop and blast shop. * Work with minimal direction to all written and verbal work instructions. * Operate basic hand tools and job specific power tools related to paint pre activities. * Care for and maintain all company owned equipment and facilities, including general housekeeping and continuous improvements activities. * Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations. * Performs other tasks related to his/her classification. * Other duties as required. Qualifications * Forklift Safety Training certificate an asset. * Experience with routine maintenance * MUST be reliable, punctual, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment. * Experience as asset but willing to train the right applicant. * Effective communication skills, with the ability to give and take clear direction; verbal and written. * Detailed oriented and willing to function as part of a highly motivated team. * Self-motivated, with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and safety * Safety Training an asset but will train as required. * Must pass pre-employment physical demands and abilities assessment. * This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odours, fumes, and oils. Operate forklifts and other equipment to load and unload materials in the paint and blast shops. Maintain company facilities and equipment while adhering to safety regulations and housekeeping policies.

Candidates should be reliable and punctual, with a Forklift Safety Training certificate and safety training considered assets. Must be able to pass a physical demands assessment and work in an environment exposed to noise, dust, and fumes.
