Your New Company You’ll be joining a family-owned, commercial real estate organization that manages a growing portfolio across Calgary. This team provides integrated property management solutions with a focus on operational excellence, tenant services, and financial accountability. Your New Role As a Property Accountant, you will support a growing commercial real estate portfolio and accounting team based in Calgary. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and working papers Maintaining direct communication with clients Preparing annual budgets and reforecasts Managing rental and recovery billings Conducting cash analysis and distributions to owners Resolving tenant disputes and auditing tenant accounts for billing accuracy Presenting revenue and expense variance explanations monthly Analyzing and preparing tenant escalations for monthly payments and annual adjustments Collaborating with Lease Administration, Property Operations, Finance, Legal, and other departments to complete financial statements Preparing depreciation and fixed asset schedules monthly Monitoring and reporting on capital expenditure programs, landlord work, and tenant improvements Liaising with Property Managers What You’ll Need to Succeed CPA, CA, or CGA designation (or enrollment is an asset) 3+ years’ experience in full cycle commercial property accounting Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Excellent communication skills Experience with Yardi is an asset What You’ll Get in Return You’ll receive a base salary of up to $90,000, comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, disability, life insurance, 3 weeks vacation, tuition support, and pension contributions, along with opportunities to grow your expertise in commercial property accounting.
