As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Scale House Operator to join our team. This position plays a critical role in supporting our asphalt and aggregate operations by ensuring accurate truck weighing, production tracking, customer service, and administrative support while helping maintain the efficient daily operation of our facilities. Responsibilities Scale Operations Operate the truck scale system for inbound and outbound vehicles. Accurately prepare and process scale tickets, delivery slips, invoices, and related documentation. Verify truck weights and ensure all required information is entered correctly into the scale system. Monitor truck movements to maintain efficient traffic flow throughout the yard. Communicate with drivers regarding load information, directions, and plant procedures. Maintain accurate records of daily production, shipments, and material movements. Administration & Customer Service Provide professional and courteous service to customers, truck drivers, and visitors. Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to customer inquiries. Coordinate with dispatch, plant personnel, and operations staff to ensure accurate order processing. Enter production, shipment, and inventory information into company software systems. Reconcile daily load reports and assist with production reporting. Perform general administrative duties, filing, and record management as required. Safety & Teamwork Ensure all scale house activities are performed in accordance with company safety policies and procedures. Report equipment malfunctions or operational concerns promptly. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment. Work collaboratively with plant operators, dispatchers, supervisors, and management to support efficient daily operations. Assist with additional administrative or operational tasks as required. Qualifications Previous experience working in a scale house, asphalt plant, aggregate operation, construction, or similar industrial environment is considered an asset. Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office and data entry software. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to process information accurately and efficiently. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with drivers, customers, and internal staff. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational setting. Valid Ontario driver's licence is considered an asset. Why Join The Forest Group?
