WHAT YOU WILL DO The Forest Technician is responsible for forest development activities including reconnaissance road/cut block engineering, ecological and riparian assessments, and completing the associated plans, deliverables, and appraisal packages in a safe, timely, cost effective and professional manner. This is a field-based position that has the potential for out of town and camp work. QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES A safety conscious attitude; Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in a relevant discipline, or 3 years of related field experience; Broad understanding of general forestry practices; and Valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Enthusiastic and passionate about forestry and working outdoors in all weather conditions; Able to work both independently under limited direct supervision as well as in a dynamic team environment.
