Data Engineer + AI We’re working with a fast-growing investment firm focused on delivering customized liquidity solutions across private equity portfolios. As the business grows, they’re continuing to expand their capabilities across data engineering, analytics, cloud infrastructure, and applied AI . They’re now hiring an Associate, Data Engineer to join the team building and scaling the firm’s cloud data platfor m. This person will help design robust data pipelines, build high-quality data models, and support AI-driven approaches to automate and improve data workflows across the organizati on.You’ll work closely with teams across Portfolio Analytics, Finance, and Operations to turn complex data needs into scalable solutions that support better decision-making, reduce risk, and help the firm move quick ly. What you’ll work on:Building and maintaining ELT/ETL pipelines and data mo delsWorking with cloud data platforms, ideally GCP / BigQ ueryDeveloping version-controlled SQL views, scheduled queries, and stored proced uresUsing Python for data pipeline development, scripting, and automa tionSupporting deployment and automation workflows with tools like Terraform and GitHub Act ionsExploring practical AI use cases across data workflows, including documentation, anomaly detection, data quality, and intelligent transformat ionsCollaborating with business and technical teams to translate requirements into reliable data prod ucts Ideal pro file:3+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related technical roleStrong SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and query optimiz ationStrong Python for data workflows and autom ationExperience with cloud data platforms; GCP / BigQuery strongly pref erredExposure to CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and modern development work flowsCuriosity around AI, LLMs, AI-assisted development, MCP servers, and practical autom ationStrong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and business stakeho lders

The Associate Data Engineer will design robust data pipelines and build high-quality data models to support AI-driven approaches. They will collaborate with various teams to create scalable solutions that enhance decision-making and reduce risk.

Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related technical role, with strong skills in SQL and Python. Experience with cloud data platforms, particularly GCP/BigQuery, and familiarity with CI/CD and automation tools is also required.
