Overview Position Overview At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), our Boom Operators are essential—delivering materials safely, efficiently, and with pride. Responsibilities and Qualifications Key Responsibilities Vehicle Operation/Delivery The ability to inspect trucks daily and verify that they are loaded and secured properly when leaving the facility in accordance with the Company and Transport Canada standards Basic understanding and knowledge of operation of piggy-back trucks, box trucks, and fork trucks Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials Safety Adheres to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Follow all safety protocols and Canadian Center for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) requirements to maintain a safe working environment Use proper lifting techniques Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing Physical Job Requirements Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation Frequent driving or sitting in a truck, forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying building materials weighing approximately 100 pounds, using proper lifting procedures; and occasionally pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying greater weights. Pushing and pulling carts loaded carts over various distances and surfaces. Some functions may be performed as a team Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned Miscellaneous Support our values in the stand areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers Other duties as assigned Qualifications Possess valid Class 1 or 3 Driver's License Boom experience required Minimum 1-year consistent commercial driving experience Dependable and great work ethic Strong Customer Service A safe driving record Compensation and Benefits Reports To Branch Manager Compensation The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. The actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. Exigences

Requires a valid Class 1 or 3 Driver's License and a minimum of one year of consistent commercial driving experience. Candidates must have previous boom operation experience and a safe driving record.
