Franklin Empire Inc. supplies electrical components for new construction, renovation, and maintenance of industrial plants, residences, and commercial buildings. We provide OEM and MRO solutions, lighting design, inventory management, training, automation expertise, and specialty services. This Position will be at our Woodbridge Branch The main responsibilities for this position are: * Manage the purchasing and inventory of: * Aluminum wire, * Copper wire, with a focus on specialty and non-circuit-size wire, * Monitor inventory levels, demand forecasts, lead times, and market conditions to ensure product availability, * Develop and maintain strong relationships with wire and cable manufacturers and suppliers, * Collaborate with Wire Operations Management to coordinate purchasing strategies, inventory levels, and customer requirements, * Monitor market activity and provide updates to leadership regarding pricing trends, sales activity, supply conditions, and demand forecasts, * Prepare and manage quotations for: * Large aluminum wire projects, * Copper wire, including specialty and non-circuit-size products, * MI Cable, * Vita-Link Cable, * Vertical Riser TECK * Review large wire opportunities and provide pricing recommendations, * Analyze project requirements to ensure pricing remains competitive while maintaining profitability, * Work with manufacturers to secure project pricing and negotiate favorable terms, * Review copper and aluminum parallel projects and assist with product selection and specifications, * Provide technical guidance to contractors and customers regarding pulling eyes and other installation-related accessories, * Assist contractors in gathering information required for IEEE calculations and related project documentation, * Recommend appropriate wire and cable solutions based on customer requirements and application needs, * Serve as a technical resource for customers, sales teams, and operations personnel. The main requirements for this position are: * Experience in the electrical industry, wire and cable industry, or electrical distribution sector, * Strong knowledge of aluminum and copper wire products, including large conductor and specialty cable applications, * Understanding of wire and cable specifications and approvals, applications, and installation requirements, * Proven purchasing, supplier management, and negotiation skills, * Experience preparing quotations and pricing large projects, * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, * Ability to work effectively with contractors, suppliers, sales teams, and operations personnel, * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, * Ability to analyze market trends and make informed purchasing and pricing decisions, * Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/business systems is considered an asset.
