The technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, and repairing automotive mechanical units and systems to locate faults. They perform scheduled maintenance, estimate labor costs, and advise customers on necessary future repairs.

Candidates must have a secondary school diploma or equivalent and an Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification. One to two years of experience and a valid driver's license are required.
