Engineering Intern – Gas Turbine Engine Repairing Location: Montreal, Quebec ABOUT FTAI AVIATION LTD. JOB OVERVIEW We are looking for a motivated Repair Engineering Student who can join our team and commit to an 8-month internship. Join FTAI Aviation’s Repair Team and make a direct impact in a collaborative, high-performance environment. The Repair Engineering department is responsible for supporting both production (gas turbine engine disassembly, inspection, reassembly and testing), as well as piece-part repair (such as machining, welding, coating, and other specialized processes). Responsibilities: * Set up or review routers for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System (Master Router), to define repair stepsin accordance withOEM documentation * Assist Repair Engineers in the engine part overhaul process (could include data organization, collection, development of tools to support engineering functions, etc.) * Assist the Tooling Engineers with tool design,manufacturingandrepair. * Work with shop floor repair technicians to develop and document new or existing repair methods * Participate in material review board activities to find repair solutions on discrepant material Required skills, qualifications and experience: * CurrentlystudyinginaBachelorofEngineeringprogram at a recognized university in either Mechanical, Aerospace or Materials Engineeringor equivalent * Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, organizationalplanningand interpersonal skills * Proficiencywith Microsoft suite, Excel and Word isa must.Programming skillsareanasset. * Ability to troubleshoot problems prepare and/or present technical reports * Organized, self-motivatedandhasstrong analytical thinking * Experience with drawings for manufacturing and an understanding of GD&T * Ability to multitask and work without direct supervision * Fluent in French and English. Exigences
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong analytical skills, and an understanding of GD&T and manufacturing drawings are required.
